All project photographs submitted will be judged on overall presentation of the pool, spa or deck and how it complements the surrounding environment design in the quest for the Diamond Standard. Please remember we are looking for photographs that will showcase the creatively crafted perfect backyard or commercial oasis.

 

Diamond Standard Categories are as follows:

• Residential Pools & Spas
• Commercial Pools & Spas
• Residential Decorative Concrete Pool Decks & Patios
• Commercial Decorative Concrete Pool Decks & Patios

 

Image Submission Criteria and Tips:

• The application in a pool/spa or deck, must utilize SGM branded Pool or Decorative Concrete finishes.
• Please identify the SGM brand, color and applicator who installed the finish.
• Submit one photo per entry, you may submit as many entries as you like on an on-going basis.
• To submit the same photo for consideration in both pool and deck finish categories:
  Register your main entry using the submission form, then add the second entry in the “Notes” area.
• Only high-resolution files (.jpg) will be accepted.
  Photos must be at least 300dpi, at a minimum of size of 2.5MB, no larger than 10MB.
• Photos taken with a drone will be accepted.
• Please make sure there are no people or pets in the photos.
• Please make sure to clean-up the area to be photographed (no hoses/cleaning equipment/boxes/bags/towels, etc.).
  Remember the overall presentation will be judged.
• Optional: You can use a professional photographer to shoot your pools for you, if you so choose.
• Photographs submitted may be used by SGM for advertising purposes (both print and on-line).
• Please be sure to read the Photo Release and Agreement prior to submitting the photos.

 

Judging Criteria:

• Pool finishes that qualify to be judged in the Residential Category:
  Diamond Brite, Diamond Brite Watercolor Series, Diamond Brite Jewels, Durazzo, River Rok and Ultra Pearl Brite.
• Pool finishes that qualify to be judged in the Commercial Category:
  Diamond Brite, Diamond Brite Watercolor Series, Diamond Brite Jewels and River Rok.
• Commercial Categories apply to any pool, spa or deck, not incorporated into single-family residences.
• Images that do not meet the criteria designated above will not be eligible to participate.

 

Additional Information:

• Winning entries will be notified by email of their achievement on a tri-annual basis: May 1st, September 1st and January 2nd

  • Paid advertisement on SGM Social Media featuring the Diamond Standard winning entry
